What Is Old Hollywood?
Old Hollywood, also known as the Golden Age of Hollywood, is the time period from the 1920s through the 1950s when cinema was at its finest in America. The age dawned with the advent of silent movies, and eventually, Talkies, or movies with sound and dialogue. Colossal amounts of money were being poured into and out of Hollywood’s film studios.
You may have heard of the Hollywood Regency style of interior decoration, which is a style associated with the Golden Age. Think luxe velvet materials, fine silks and satins, jewel-toned colors, and dazzling metallics.
