Are you itching for some adventure? Do you want to get outside your routine and have some new experiences? You’ll find just what you need at the Greenville Zoo.

See The Animals

At the zoo, you can see all kinds of amazing animals. At first, you’ll see a South American exhibit that has a giant ant eater and two rheas. Rheas are birds that are similar to ostriches but only grow as tall as five feet.

Next, you’ll see a whole variety of monkeys. Head over to the Africa section to see giraffes and two African lions. There’s an orangutan habitat and a leopard exhibit on the other side of the playground.

The red pandas are also popular among guests. You’ll love seeing them interact with each other and their enclosure.

Plan Your Visit

During the fall and winter, the zoo is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. every day. The latest entry to the zoo is at 4:15 p.m.

Entrance for adults costs $9.75. Children between the ages of 3 and 15 can enter for $6.50. Children 2 and under can visit the zoo for free. Discounts are available for active or retired military personnel or groups of 15 or more.

Special Events

Throughout the year, the Greenville Zoo does all kinds of special events. In the summer, kids can go to Summer Zoo Camp. They’ll participate in age-appropriate activities and learn all about the animals at the zoo.

They also have lots of kids and family workshops available on weekends throughout the year. There are also free events on weekdays like Wild About Ready Wednesdays and Tell Me About It Tuesdays. You can even host a birthday party at the zoo!
